Congregational Statistics

Our Mission: Temple Beth-El is an intimate, diverse Jewish congregation which seeks to be a center for spiritual fulfillment, life-long learning, social and cultural enrichment, and community leadership. We are committed to teaching our heritage as an evolving tradition.

Temple Beth-El is located on the shore of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region, about forty-five minutes from Downtown Rochester, and one hour from both Syracuse and Ithaca. Temple Beth-El is a diverse, warm and caring group of families and individuals working together to create a meaningful Jewish community, and engage in Jewish acts and learning.

The congregation has been an active community for over 60 years. Together it celebrates Jewish holidays, life cycle events and simchas. Beth-El is affiliated with The Union for Reform Judaism, and is committed to respecting the traditions of a diverse group of congregants.

In addition to worship, Temple Beth-El takes pride in learning opportunities for children and adults, as well as social events throughout the Finger Lakes, and opportunities for Social Justice and Social Action work. Youth attend classes twice per week, with midweek learning taking place in Canandaigua AND Geneva. Children actively participate in services and are encouraged to remain involved. For a calendar of events and more information visit http://www.bethelgeneva.org or call 315-789-2945.

Our membership comes from a forty (40!) mile radius.
